Where To Put the Canvas?

Does setting matter?

I wonder, can a painter enter into his or her special mind-space if he or she is placed in a grunged public restroom? What about a poet? Could an lyricist feel the dynamic range of personal expression in a broom closet?

I'd say, for the majority of the time, it's hard to draw satisfying creative energy from a dismal setting.

Enter the musician. Imagine if you will, a music man. He finds himself confined within a dreary space, where laughter and clinking bar glasses dominate the soundwaves. A space where inhebriated individuals bellow their opinionated gambits sharply. A place where sensitivity has been trampled on. Can this music man create something beautiful in this environment?

for original creations... NO!
an idea might come from chaos but to finalize the creation, it must be nurtured in peacefulness.

I should've known that a painter would understand it best!
